Embroidering in PJ’s is NOT a good idea. I now have two holes in my PJ pants as I caught it while embroidering and didn’t notice until quite a few stitches later – no way was I prepared to unpick, was easier to cut it free. And I did this twice!
But when I embroider I have a supervisor, checking out everything. And catching the thread every now and then
I love school holidays – it means needlework, relaxing, reading, sleeping in and blobbing on the couch! Finished more Splendid Sampler blocks, embroidered block 1 of 6 for a quilted blanket and finished a smocked dress!
I love sending parcels to my children, even to the one living here in New Zealand. Today I am packing one for my daughter who lives in Canada. I embroidered some hand towels for their new home and these will be included today. Think I should make some for my own home as well!
I am up to date with the Splendid Sampler blocks and I think the last block is my absolute favourite. It is called Measure twice, cut once … There is one I didn’t make, or rather made but didn’t redo, it is one with stars and lots of points. I might do it at the end of the project, or maybe not at all
Productive week and remade quite a few of the Splendid Sampler blocks, two more to do and then I am up to date. Still trying to be brave enough to attempt the paper piecing block, and also have to redo the star block – both are prepped and ready to sew
