Daffodil Express

After a very cold and wet week we had a glorious sunny day. And I was very grateful because I had a ticket for the steam train here this morning. It was special, not just because it was for the steam train, but the Daffodil Express. And after my cancer journey this year I am thankful for the job the cancer society does and for all the people who buy daffodils every year to make a contribution to the Cancer Society

We travelled from Wellington to Carterton by steam train, then caught a bus to the daffodil fields and back to Carterton to the market stalls. And then back to Wellington with the Daffodil Express again

It was a lovely day and a perfect end to the weekend

  1. Beautiful pictures, thank you for sharing them. I love sping and daffodils so am feeling a bit envious as we are experiencing fall weather. At least it’s sunny today!
